Despite the impressive number of reservoirs and rich water resources, in Germany you cannot just go and go to the lake with a spinning rod - fishing in Germany in 2021 requires compliance with many conditions and, most importantly, obtaining a permit. In some lands, getting it is not only more expensive, but also more difficult than even a driver's license. Fishermen, however, do not complain, because this has a positive effect on the number of fish in the reservoirs.
